Lybster Golf Club Centenary Celebrations
Lybster Golf Club was established in 1926 at the Lybster Railway terminus when the railway was still in full operation along the single track line from Wick.
One hundred years later, the original ticket office has been incorporated into the golf clubhouse, and the storage yard and locomotive turntable have become what is now a practice area.
The Golf Club is still going strong and extend a warm invitation to both members and visitors with a WHS golf handicap to join in the centenary celebrations in two very special open competitions:
- CENTENARY HICKORY STICKS 9 HOLE OPEN
- Sunday 7th June 2026 at Lybster Golf Club
- Mixed Texas Scramble, Regular Stroke Play competition played over 9 holes per round.
- Celebrating golf heritage by playing with hickory sticks!
- LYBSTER CENTENARY OPEN
