The Latheron, Lybster and Clyth Community Development Company (LLCCDC) was established in 2006 as a proactive response to the unique needs of the communities within the Latheron, Lybster, and Clyth Community Council area. The primary aim of the LLCCDC is to foster local development, promote sustainability, and enhance the overall quality of life for the residents. Structured as a company limited by guarantee (SC304412), the organisation operates with a clear mandate to address pressing local issues while encouraging community participation and engagement.

Membership in the LLCCDC is open to residents within the community council area, aged 18 and over, allowing for a broad representation of perspectives and ideas. The inclusive nature of the membership ensures that the initiatives undertaken resonate with the aspirations and needs of the local population. By engaging residents in the decision-making process, the company cultivates a sense of ownership and accountability, which is paramount for successful community development.
