Seaview House

Seaview House is an important community facility offering meeting space for businesses, community groups and individuals, in addition to support, advice and training opportunities directly to local people.

Seaview House was previously a Childrens Home. In the 1980’s it was converted into flats, 3 one bedroom flats and 1 two bedroom flat. The last tenant moved out in 2007 with the other flats lying empty for over 4 years and in very poor condition.

In 2009 LLCCDC (based in the old school house in Dunbeath) investigated the potential use of the building as a Community, Business and Energy Resource Centre. The property was purchased and adapted for its new purpose. Improvements included installation of a high-efficiency log burner to provide heat, thermal PV panels to provide hot water and a disabled toilet.

Seaview House is ideally located for community access. Our main objectives are:

  • To deliver social enterprise projects at local level
  • Build the capacity of the voluntary and business sectors locally
  • Develop a carbon footprint reduction programme
  • Deliver training.

Our main conference room is available for hire from £20 per hour. You can check room availability using the calendar below. To enquire about room reservations please submit your query using the contact form below.
